Export Sales Manager (Pump Industry)

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India

Markets: Gulf & Africa

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Gulf and African markets for pumps and related products.
  2. Sales & Revenue Growth: Achieve export sales targets through strategic marketing and sales planning.
  3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, agents, and key clients in the target regions.
  4. Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
  5. Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies, pricing structures, and promotional activities to increase market share.
  6. International Business Development: Travel to the Gulf & African countries for business meetings, trade shows, and client interactions.
  7. Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and finalize contracts with customers and distributors.
  8. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all export activities comply with international trade regulations and documentation requirements.
  9. Collaboration with Internal Teams: Coordinate with production, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

Key Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related) or Business Administration. MBA preferred.
  2. Experience: 5-10 years of experience in export sales, preferably in the pump industry or related industrial equipment.
  3. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial pumps, water management solutions, and international sales practices.
  4. Language Skills: Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Arabic or French is an advantage.
  5. Technical & Soft Skills:
  6. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and develop strategic partnerships.
  8. Familiarity with export documentation, Incoterms, and trade regulations.
  9. Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
  10. Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel extensively to the Gulf and African regions for business development.
