Job Title: Assembly Fitter – Pump Industry

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Assembly Fitter responsible for assembling pump components and ensuring proper fitting, alignment, and functionality of pumps as per technical specifications. The candidate should have hands-on experience in mechanical assembly and quality checks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assemble pump components such as casing, impeller, shaft, bearings, seals, and motor parts
2. Perform fitting, alignment, and tightening of components as per drawings
3. Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions
4. Ensure proper clearance, tolerance, and alignment during assembly
5. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments effectively
6. Conduct trial runs and basic testing of assembled pumps
7. Identify and rectify assembly defects or mismatches
8. Coordinate with machining and quality departments for smooth assembly process
9. Maintain cleanliness and follow 5S practices in the assembly area
10. Follow safety guidelines and use PPE at all times

Key Skills & Competencies:

1. Strong knowledge of pump assembly and mechanical fitting
2. Ability to read technical drawings
3. Understanding of tolerances, fits, and alignment techniques
4. Knowledge of bearings, seals, and coupling systems
5. Basic troubleshooting skills
6. Attention to detail and quality focus

Qualification:

1. ITI Fitter / Mechanical Trade or equivalent
2. 2–5 years experience in pump or engineering industry

Working Conditions:

1. Shop floor / assembly line environment
2. Exposure to mechanical tools, noise, and heavy equipment
3. Standing work for long hours

Production Supervisor / Assembly Incharge

Salary:

As per industry standards (based on experience)
