Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing accounting entries, handling statutory compliance, and assisting in monthly and yearly financial reporting. The role typically includes bookkeeping, reconciliations, invoice processing, GST/TDS support, and accounting software usage under the guidance of senior finance staff. (Indeed)

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
• Record purchase, sales, payment, receipt, and journal vouchers.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Prepare bank reconciliation statements (BRS).
• Process vendor invoices and customer payments.
• Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance.
• Maintain petty cash and expense records.
• Prepare invoices, debit notes, and credit notes.
• Assist in monthly closing and financial reports.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and internal departments.
• Maintain proper accounting documents and filing systems.
• Support payroll-related accounting entries.
• Perform any other accounting work assigned by management. (foundit)

Qualifications:

• B.Com / M.Com (Preferred)
• Additional accounting certifications are an advantage.

Experience:

• 0–2 years of experience in accounting.
• Freshers with good accounting knowledge may also apply.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of Tally ERP / Tally Prime
• Good understanding of GST & TDS
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Basic accounting principles and bookkeeping
• Good analytical and numerical skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred Industry:

• Manufacturing / Pump Industry experience will be an added advantage.
