Responsible for meeting the sales targets of the organization through effective planning and budgeting.
He is the one who sets the targets for the sales executives and other sales representatives. A sales manager must ensure the targets are realistic and achievable.
The duties must not be imposed on anyone, instead should be delegated as per interests and specializations of the individuals. A sales manager must understand who can perform a particular task in the most effective way. It is his role to extract the best out of each employee.
He devises strategies and techniques necessary for achieving the sales targets. He is the one who decides the future course of action for his team members. A sales manager is also responsible for brand promotion. He must make the product popular among the consumers. A banner at a wrong place is of no use. Canopies must be placed at strategic locations; hoardings should be installed at important places for the best results.
Responsible for not only selling but also maintaining and improving relationships with the client. Client relationship management is also his KRA.
As Export Sales Managers sell products or services to overseas customers. They research potential markets, conduct personal selling visits, org anise sales promotions, appoint agents and distributors and negotiate sales contracts. Some might also arrange the transport of goods and the collection of payments.
To grow the Export business in your allocated territories in line with growth targets.
Employ activities to pursue new market opportunities. Sign up and manage strategic accounts in key countries.
Provide regular sales and product training to sales forces in distributors, dealers and key accounts.
Provide periodic performance reports and statistics to the Senior Management Team.
Provide industry activity reports and analysis as part of your sales call reporting.
Work with the Marketing team to develop promotions, events and lead activities targeted at local markets.
Candidates are having minimum 7 to 15 years of experience in sales and export, he is expertise in export work. Pump industry or MFG industry candidates are preferred.
Salary is no bar for right candidate.
